Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Led By Lam platform, website, and consulting services. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Services Provided

Led By Lam offers education consulting services including but not limited to:

• College counseling and application support
• Standardized test preparation (SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT)
• Academic coaching and executive functioning support
• Graduate school strategy and professional development
• Private school admissions guidance
• Essay editing and application review
• General student advising
• Services are delivered via video call (Zoom), in-person meeting (Miami-based), or asynchronous communication as scheduled.

3. Eligibility

You must be 18+ to create an account independently. If you are a minor, a parent or legal guardian must create the account and authorize your use.

4. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of login credentials, authorizing all activities under your account, providing accurate current information, and notifying us of unauthorized access. You agree not to share credentials with unauthorized users, misrepresent your identity, impersonate others, or access accounts not owned by you.

5. Fees & Payment

Fees are listed on the Services page. After signing a contract for a specified duration, clients are automatically charged via Stripe on the last weekday before each new month for the upcoming month's sessions. We accept payment via Stripe. You authorize us to charge your stated payment method on the scheduled billing date. We may adjust pricing with 30 days' notice. Refund Policy: Contracted services are non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe an error occurred, contact lamia@ledbylam.com within 7 days.

6. Scheduling & Cancellation

Sessions are scheduled via Calendly. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged. If we need to cancel, we will reschedule at the earliest available time.

7. Intellectual Property

• Session recordings, notes, and reports are owned by Led By Lam
• You may use personal copies of session materials for your own benefit
• You may not republish, distribute, or commercialize session content without written permission
• Assessment instruments (CliftonStrengths, 16Personalities, etc.) are property of their respective owners

8. Confidentiality

We maintain student and family information in confidence, subject to legal requirements (subpoena, court order), mandated reporting obligations (safety concerns), your explicit authorization to share, and parental access (minors' records). Information shared within sessions is confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties without authorization, except as noted above.

9. Limitation of Liability

We provide services "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages; lost profits, data, or opportunity; service interruptions or delays; or third-party services (Zoom, Calendly, Stripe) failures. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for services in the prior 12 months.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Led By Lam from claims, damages, or costs arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the platform, unauthorized use of your account, or your violation of laws or third-party rights.

11. Disclaimer of Guarantees

Consulting services are advisory and educational in nature. Outcomes depend on student effort, school decisions, test administration, and external factors beyond our control. We do not guarantee college acceptance, standardized test score improvements, admission to specific schools, or career outcomes.

12. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of changes. We will notify you of material changes via email or prominent notice.

13. Termination

We may terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in harassment or illegal activity, or fail to pay fees. Upon termination, your access ends immediately but data retention continues per the Privacy Policy.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service are governed by the laws of Florida. You agree to attempt good-faith resolution with us before pursuing legal action.
